Being offered is a Superb 18th C. Ludwigsburg German Porcelain \"Cherubs Tussling With A Wild Goat\" Large Figural Group. The factory was established in 1758 and closed in 1824, the blue underglaze crown over double \"C\" mark seen in picture (12) was used until 1806. This magnificent figurine depicts a bucking wild goat being restrained by three cherubs : one has climbed on the goats back, the other is laying on the ground grabbing the goat by the horns and the other has subdued the goat by wrapping a large garland of grapevines around his neck pulling vigorously. The quality & detail of this piece is truly exquisite done in the Meissen style of fine porcelain. I have painstakingly examined and black lighted this figural group and deem it to be in EXCELLENT CONDITION with no chips, cracks or restorations showing no signs of wear and no loss of gold, the garland of grapevines is fully in tact only showing a miniscule fleabite on a few of the leaves too insignificant to mention. It stands 8\" tall, 12\" x 5 1/2\" in diameter, the base 10 1/4\" x 5 1/2\" in diameter. Please note that I will be starting this sale at an extremely low price as I always do with !!!
