DESCRIPTION

This is a magnificent, antique solid silver thimble by Charles Horner ofNorthgate, Halifax. It features Horner’s ‘Louise’ pattern to the top and mainpart of the shaft with a beautifully cast and applied three-legged Coat of Armsfor the Isle of Man to the front. Beneath thisis a plain, contrasting band with a stepped rim.

The hallmarks which are very slightly rubbed but good and clear. They comprise:C.H, Lion Passant, Wheat sheaves (Chesterassay mark) and date letter w for 1922. The size is 7.

A relatively scare and genuine quality combination for discerningcollectors!
