Youare offerding on a WONDERFUL LARGE 19c figuredwalnut veneered restored andrepolished jewellery box. Dates approximately 1850/1890.

InWONDERFUL restored condition.

FULLY LOCKS with ease.

One old veneer repair to the right frontbottom edge, with slight repair just around the bottom edge which is nothing.A superb large wonderfully restored jewellery box.

The box retains its original deep buttoned fixed silk lid backing board which is in good order with minor wear which nothing. Its remarkable this has lasted in very good condition for its great age.

Inlaid boxwoodbanding to the top and front.Further inlaid withboxwood,ebony and mother of pearlto thecentral cartouche andkeyhole escutcheon. Slight old nibble repair to the right side of the escutcheon.

Displayswonderful colour. The pictures really do not do it justice.

Comprisinga wonderful interiorthat boasts a later wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments.This has been relined in expensive velvetmaterial of thehighest quality, the same as the bottompart of the interior of the box.

Allthe added dividers within the tray can easily be repositioned or removed ifdesired. The tray can hold many rings in an upright position.

Underneaththe additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined invelvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces.

A superb box, and would make afantastic gift.
