SUPERB 19c VICTORIAN ROSEWOOD JEWELLERY VANITY BOX-FAB INTERIOR

You are offerding on WONDERFUL LARGErestored and repolished early rosewood inlaid jewellery/ vanity box. Box datesapproximately c1840/70

This box is in superbcondition, with just one tiny nibble repair on the left edge of the draw and abruise repair to the top left edge both are nothing. Apart from that this is areally terrific box.

The main carcass is made fromsolid mahogany which makes the box quite heavy. Then veneered in rosewood allin great condition.

The box was a presentation pieceand is dated 1867 which is quite unique with plenty of history.

Inlayed with solid brass tothe central cartouche and keyhole escutcheon. Along with the original solidbrass draw handle. The draw is also tongue and grooved, a sign of real quality.

When you see the box in frontof you, you will not be disappointed. Its well constructed and very well made.

The front draw is accessed bythe removal of a later solid brass rod.

The draw runs in and outsmoothly.

Considering the boxes age itsin very good condition.

Complete with original brasslock, top catch and stop hinges.

Supplied with a silktassel, and Victorian key that that sadly does not lock the box, and isdescribed and supplied as being decorative only.

VERY HIGHLYRECOMMENDED, WITH A LOVELY INTERIOR.

Comprising a superb interior that boasts alater wooden tray finished to a superb standard that compliments. This has beenrelined in good quality velvet material, andthe same as the interior of the box.

All the added dividers withinthe tray can easily be repositioned or removed if desired. The tray can holdmany rings in an upright position.

The front draw also hasadditional dividers which again can be removed or repositioned.

Underneath the additionaltray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop anyscratches to other surfaces.

Asan investment for the future, our boxes will never loose their appeal or charm, and shouldwith care last all our lifetimes and beyond.
