SUPERB 19th C GOTHIC WROUGHT IRON ARCHITECTURAL BRACKET: WINGED GARGOYLE c1890s:

This is a superb and original architectural wrought iron bracket with the gothic winged gargoyle of which:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century.

It came in from a recent London house clearance where it was displayed outside.

Of a european iron with a coloured finish.

Large bracket with the winged gargoyle with the open mouth.

Intricate detailing with other decoration.

Wonderful portrayal of the winged gargoyle with its open mouth.

The bracket has an overall height of about 14.5inches with a dia of just over 1.5inches.

Overall depth of about 14.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis very good and is not subject to any major blemishes except:

aging with discolouring and rusting where it has been outside.

The top is flat where it has has a metal top removed with the same at the top of the bracket.
