This is a superb gothic woooden oak architectural winged gargoyle carving of which:

During our research we have been informed itcertainly dates from the 19th century.

Dates about c1890s.

Of a black forest origin.

Gothic.

One of a number being listed.

A wooden oak carving of the winged gargoyle.

Architectural, would have been mounted onto a chandelier with the head looking downwards.

Has a recess to the rear, where a wire would have been mounted.

It has an overall sizeof about 11.25 x 8.25inches.

Max depth across the wings of about 1.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes except:

an early repair to the front foot with chipping to the rear area of the foot.
