This isa superb black forest wooden oakbox with the relief carvings to the lid of the acorns & leaves ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century and is confirmed as being of a black forest origin.

Dates about c1880s.

Awooden oakboxwith the relief carvings to the hinged lid of:

the acorns and leaf twig.

Hinged lid with key hole and lock. (part of lock to top missing)

It has an overall height of about 2.75inches.

Max overall size of the lid of about 7.25 x 7.25inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall conditionis not subject to:

any major blemishes.

Baise to base, mostly missing, easy to remove the remainder.
