This is a superb majolica fish teapot with the decorative cover, fish tail handle and other ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the 19th century.

Dates c1880.

Of an english origin.

Majolica teapot with its wonderful decoration of:

the colourful fish with scales and face.

Spout.

Fish tail handle.

Cover with the fin handle.

It has an overall height of about 6.5inches.

It has an overall max dia inc. decorative handle and spout of about 10.5inches.

Base size of about 4.5 x 3inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition is very good and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

chipping to the end of the spout of which, with todays modern & advanced restoration techniques, can certainly be improved.

A chip to the inner edge of the cover.
