SUPERB 19thc ARCHITECTURAL GOTHIC COPPER BRONZE GREEN MAN FIXTURE C.1860:

This is asuperb 19thc architectural gothic Green Man plaque/fixture. The metal has copper colours coming through what I think is a bronze or a spelter bronze. A little hard to determine exactly what the metal is on this piece.

Excellent attention to detail to this really beautiful gothic Green Man with vine leaves and grapes. In fine relief with the face being very well detailed. Around the central plaque is a wreath of flowers and leaves. To the back of plaque is a metal post and the remnants of old plaster as images show.

Dimensions overall including the wreath are some 6.75\" height x 9\" width. The head itself measures some 6\" x 6\".

Condition to the head itself is excellent and age commensurate. There is damage to the flower on top of head and there is a break to one side of the garland. The lower section of garland is loose but still attached. Please see all images. All as per images.
