Superb 19thc large gothic relief oak carved panel with a fire-breathing gargoyle.

Excellent attention to carved detail on this stunning and dramatic gothic panel. The gargoyle is beautifully carved in fine relief and in a standing pose. The gargoyle\'s hind feet rest upon a decoratively carved platform below which is carved acanthus leaf and scrolling decoration. The panel is well shaped with a domed design and a border around the carved detail. A heavy and a quality carved panel.

Panel measures some 14.75\" x 29\".

Excellent and age commensurate condition. Lovely. All as per images.
