Please scroll down below description for more pictures.Dating from the early 1900s this antique French Art Nouveau seal came to me with a recent attic clearance here in Normandie.
It has taken on a dark colour with touches of verdi gris from the passage of time and I have left it just as I found it. It will polish as required.
The top is a filigree design with Tulips with necklace swags and foliage.
The base has the entwined monogram which looks like CW or MD
Height 8cms
Max diameter 3.8cms
A genuine period seal for any vintage bureau or collection.
