A really stunning thickset yet compact antique picture frame with really great gesso detailing to the border. It has a beautiful sweeping floral pattern very Art Nouveau in style in my opinioin and it\'s a really great gilt colour. Dating at aguess to around 1880 this is a frame with bags of style & charm .. Measuring approximately 36.5cms by 31.5cms and with a rebate size (for your image) of 25cms by 20cms. The sight measurement is 23cm by 18cm. CONDITION

In excellent condition for the age with super solid joints, the gesso is very strong & I can see no damages .. some age commensurate wear to the corners but this is part of the character ... most probably the original gilt colour (it\'s so hard to tell with these old frames) it looks & feels right right, this frame will suit equally well a portrait or a landscape or even something fairly contemporary .. it will really suit an image of a loved one ..

I always take lots of close-up pics so please take in of the photos for your own condition consideration prior to offerding ..
