I will be selling a good number of interesting antiques over two days (possibly adding pieces on Friday 21st) including Tribal art, Chinese, Japanese, Indian and European antiques. PLEASE NOTE: This sale is in GB Pounds Sterling.

This is a fine antique Melanesian wooden short club ? with a hole drilled to one end and fluting with red-orange, black and white ochre to the other. The black stained wood is of a medium weight and the patina over the whole piece is fantastic. The closest I can find in terms of shape and taking into account the ochre used would be New Britain, New Ireland or possibly further north towards the Admiralty Islands. It has a great feel to it and I am selling it at a very low starting price and with .

If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (DHL / FEDEX etc.) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.
