Superb antique NYC art deco 3 tier crowned wedding cake crystal chandelier~!
c. 1920s
************************* This superb antique art deco 3 tier wedding cake crystal chandelier once hung in an old art deco era apartment building in New York City. It measures 10 inches wide and 12 inches in length from the bottom of the crystals to the top loop on the crown of the fixture, not including the chain. ( All measurements are approximate.)The chandelier has been decorated with 133 old, clear 2.5\" fire polished bohemian crystals. (Fire polished crystals have softer edges.) The crystals have had new brassbow tie connector pins added on. Old crystals may show signs of age. There are no chips or cracks in the crystal. The chandelier features a magnificent bronze crown with decorative metal
filigree on the top of the socket cluster area.
All 3 metal tiers have beautiful pierced and etched floral decoration. The chandelier has been rewired. It has 2 standard size (not candle size)
keyless bakelite sockets. This fixture is meant to be hung from the ceiling and operates with a wall switch. The fancy ceiling canopy is 6 inches wide.
The medium link brass chain is about 14 inches long and is adjustable. When re-attaching the crystals I recommend starting from the bottom tier and working up. The chandelier is much more beautiful in person-
