A wonderful quality antique Victorian English, solid 15 carat gold (tests) ring; beautifully made, with wide band, tapered shoulders and diamond-shaped head set with an almandine garnet surrounded by stunningly lustrous pear-shaped seed pearls.Dating from around1870/80 and inexcellent, fully wearablecondition throughout with an old sizing visible to the back of the band, it weighs2.4grams and its ring size is 7 US / N ½ UK - reasonably easily resized one or two sizes either way if needed. The final photo shows it with a US penny (1 cent) coinfor scale, which measures19mm/ ¾ of an inchdiameter.
