We are pleasedto offer this beautiful antique stool/chair. This is a gorgeous piece with fantastic details and character. It features a high back with side spindles and a center slat. The top of the chair back is arched and has a nicely carved design.The chair has beautiful turned wood legs as well as the centeradjustment mechanism. Thelegsare fitted with gildediron claw and glass ball feet. The iron is very ornately patterned. The glass is a light green withtiny air bubbles. The adjustable seat isrounded and rests atop the actual chair seat. The chair looks as if it has been re-stained (by hand) at some point. The chairback, at the top, has dark stain onthe sides and medium stain in thecenter. The dark stain pattern is not uniform andhas a \"free hand\" look.It is quite unique looking and does add character to the piece. The adjustment also has newer screws attaching it to the seat. The chair is in very good condition with some very minor scuffs and light wear to the finish in just a couple of areas.The adjustment isfunctioning properly. The stool seat isdesigned to stop a couple of inches beforethechair seat; they do not touch. It has beenmarked by the manufacturer but, as you can see, the mark has faded and I cannot make out the name. In general, this is a beautifulchair in very good condition.

The chair measures as follows:It is 36.5\" tall. The back is 15.25\" wide at the top. The chair is 20\" front to back. The legs are 13.5\" wide. The round stool seat is 13.5\" in diameter. The seat height is 18.5\" at the lowest adjustment and 23\" at the maximum adjustedheight.
