- An antique C18th Georgian period circular pewter bed pan or urinal with an outside diameter of approximately 11 in (280 mm) excluding handle. It has a maximum length of 16.75 in (425 mm) including handle and stands 2.75 in (70 mm) high. The pan weighs 1990 grams and is stamped with the Makers trademark for I.BROWN with various pewter touchmarks. The handle which is threaded to the main body fits securely and can be removed easily when required or in order to remove the contents of the pan. The bed pan has developed good colour and patina with age and use over time and has only a few minor shallow dings and expected surface marks commensurate with age and use over time. A scarce quality antique household/medical accessory which would make a great addition to anyones collection, display or for use etc...
