On Offer is this BREATHTAKING Antique 14 ct. Rose Gold Filled Repousse Bangle Bracelet……....exact age unknown, but estimated to be Circa 1910. Made in a bygone era, when gifted craftsmen took great pride in their work and produced Exquisite pieces of jewellery such as this. It gives no clue in its appearance to being over a Century old and presents in Excellent Condition.

The front is smothered with Meticulous Hand Tooled \"Repousse\" Embossing done in a repeating Floral design with Foliage and Scrolls at either end. The back is plain, smooth and monogram free. The gleaming interior in monogrammed with a previous owners name \"Hilda Maetzold\".

IDENTIFICATION: Crafted by George L. Paine & Company, first listed in 1909. The inside is stamped with their trademark GLPCO, as well as 1/10 which confirms that Composition is Very High Grade Gold Filled - twice the normal thickness usually used. There are no stamps for Gold Purity, but the outer surface tested positive for 14 ct. Gold.

COLOUR: Rose Gold.

WEIGHT: 28.4 Grams.

WIDTH: 1.4 cm (1/2\").

MEASUREMENTS: Oval shaped for comfort with an inner circumference of 18.5 cm (7 1/4\"), and inner diameters of 5.7 cm x 6.6 cm.

SIZING: Generously sized for a medium wrist, but if in doubt please check your wrist measurement.

CLOSURE: The secure locking push button box clasp functions perfectly and like new. It closes flush and tight with a nice click, and can\'t be tugged open. The hinge is very stable and in perfect order.

CONDITION: In Superb Condition with no visible wear to the Gold. Apart from a couple of barely there nibbles on the back there are no dents. The Embossing is Beautifully Crisp.

All statements in my descriptions are based on research and my opinion as a collector. Most items I sell are either Gold Filled or Gold Shell. Gold Filled jewellery is constructed from a thick layer of Solid Carat Gold wrapped around a base metal. The base metal may vary and is not always identified. The Gold is mechanically bonded to the base metal using high heat or pressure, and will be as well made as Solid Gold pieces.

Vintage and Antique Gold Filled jewellery that was made many years ago will always stand out as Fine Jewellery, not only because of the high Gold content, but also because of the high quality and superior craftsmanship. It will maintain its lustre and appearance the same as solid gold jewellery. It will not flake, peel, fade or tarnish, and can be treasured as an heirloom piece. Gold Filled jewellery should not be confused with Gold Plated jewellery. Gold plated metal is produced by placing the metal into a special solution that contains gold, then electrically charged for an instant. This very thin layer can be worn off by rubbing or through body oils. In contrast, the gold filled jewellery is about 100 times thicker than a plated surface.

All Gold is Tested using a GemOro AuRacle AGT3 Digital Gold Tester which is Extremely Accurate and iscalibrated before each use.

Because all my items are taken in natural light using a macro setting, every detail that would normally not be visible to the naked eye is picked up by the camera lens and appears magnified. In most cases the item will look even better in person than the photos suggest. While my photos are a very important component of the item description, I encourage you to read the Condition report in every listing as I will try my best to mention any flaws. While all weights and measurements provided are as accurate as possible they are approximate.

All of my items are either Vintage or Antique. They may exhibit slight imperfections due to age or wear, which is part of their charm. Please take this into consideration.
