Description A stunning large English antiqueEdwardian solid sterling silvercalling card case by the silversmithHorace Woodward & Co Ltd, (1893-1916), and with a full set of English silver hallmarks for London 1903.Superb high quality genuine 115 year old sterling silver example, in excellent clean condition, with a hinged lid and is all-over decoratedwith attractive engine-turned engraving. Inside it still has its original undamaged fully gilded interior and it has a lovely heavy silver weight, approx 98 grams. Complete with its originalleather-bound fitted box with velvet and silk interior, very rare to find. Engraved with a handsome period gothic monogram.A real beauty, honestly looks hardly used.

MeasurementsLarge size, measures approx. 3.95 inches (99mm)x 2.7 inches (69mm)and is0.45 inches (11mm) deep. Will easily house a modern day credit card.

ConditionExcellent clean condition, nosplits or cracks, no solder repairs, definitely no wear holesand no knocks or dents either, a stunning clean example, looks virtually unused.The silver lid hinge works perfectlyand the lid opens and closes tightly & securely. Superb undamaged interior gilding and is very fine quality and a heavy silver gauge. Lovely original leather bound fitted box, so rare to find, and also in excellent condition. A real beauty.
