During our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the early period of the 19th century.

Portrayed seated with an arm resting on the arm of a chaise with the striped fabric or similar.

Mounted in a glazed wooden decorative frame with the hinged doors of which:

we believe this to be of a later period and not original to the miniature portrait.

The frame when closedhas an overall size of about 5.25 x 3.25inches.
