In my estimation it dates from the early 19th Century, but please make up your own mind about this

(An a Ale Mull is a conical copper vessel for heating ale, to make the traditional drinks mulled ale, and flip.)

This Ale Mull measures approx 11 1/2 inches (290mm) tall, by 4 3/8 inches (110mm) diameter across the top.

It is in very good order, with a couple of small dings, but no major damage, repairs or splits.(see photos).

The conical body has a braised dovetail seam down the back, and there is a nice maker\'s mark by the rim.

This is a fine example of its type, it would make a great display piece, and be a fine addition to any collection.
