A stunning large Chinese export silver bowl. It is unmarked but tests as high grade silver. It dates to c1880. It has been beautifully made having individual panels depicting various Chinese plant species with the front panel having an additional shield cartouche, it is supported on three cast feet. It is in perfect condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the cartouche has not been engraved. It is a good size measuring 5.5 inches (14cms) wide by almost 4 inches (10cms) tall. It weighs an impressive 7.2 troy ounces troy ounces (223 grams). A beautifully designed very high quality desirable piece.
