DescriptionAstunning verylarge and very heavy Englishantique solid sterling silver cigarette boxby the silversmiths Deakin & Francis Ltd, in lovely condition and with full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham1927.Excellent quality genuine88 year old silver example, witha hinged silver lid and having an attractivesmooth polished finish.Hasa protruding silver edge lip on the front to assist lid opening and inside it has its original undamaged cedar wood lining. Hasthe original shiny blackleatherettecoveringon the base.Very heavy, weighs approx.693 grams, including wood lining has a good silver content. No engraved presentation inscriptions or monograms, very small year date partially engraved from one lid corner, and no longer readable.
