This isa superb Staffordshire figure of the seated David Garrick as Richard III under a tent ofwhich:

Text of: Sitting bare headed, on a low seat in a tent, his right hand raised. He wears an ermine edged gown over a jerkin, doublet and hose. There is a garter below his left knee and he wears a chain round his neck.

Wonderful portrayal of David Garrick as Richard III with the intricate detailing to the face.

Areas of gilt.

Mounted onto the decorative oval hollowed base with the gilt band to the front.

It hasan overall height of about 9.75inches.

Max overall size of the hollowed base of about 7 x 3inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall conditionis excellent and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

has a firing crack to the edge of the base underneath which is from time of manufacture.

Due to age: areas of rubbing with overall fine crazing.

minor glaze chips to the edge of the base underneath.
