This is a superb Staffordshire porcellaneous building of a cottage pastille burner of which:

during our research: we have been informed it certainly dates from the mid 19th century:

dates of the building of the cottage with the pillars.

Decoration of:

windows, door to the front with:

the three turret tops with windows on the roof.

decorative arched hole to the rear for the insertion of a pastille.

areas of coloured lntricate flowers and leaves.

Lots of coloured bocage decoration.

Mounted on the oval hollow base.

It has an overall height of about 4inches.

Hollowed base with an overall size underneathof about 3.5 x 2.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is:

excellent and is not subject to any major blemishes except:

minor nibbles to the intricate flowers and leaves.

Due to age: areas of rubbing to the gilt.

All as perpictures.

Besides being a very collectable, mid 19th centuryStaffordshire porcellaneous building of a cottage pastille burning, with the intricate flowers, leaves and bocage, mounted onto the decorative oval base, c1840s, would also look fabulous displayed.
