This isa superb Staffordshire of the theatrical group of the standing male figure & seated female figurine in the decorative boat of which:

during our research we have been informed it certainly dates from the mid 19th century.

Dates about c1860s.

Male &female figurines in the wonderful dress attires, male with ermine decoration to the edge of the cobalt blue cloak.

Both wearing plumed hats.

Males hands to his waist.

Seated female figurine with the stringed instrument.

Both in the decorative and coloured boat with the head of a bird.

Mounted onto the decorative oval base with wave decoration.

Pottery, ceramic.

It hasan overall height of about 8.5inches.

A hollowed base with an overall size of about 5.25 x 2.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall conditionis very good and is not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

has a blemish of the loss of the birds beak.

a chip to the males hat in two areas.

there is a small hole to the females neck.

Due to age: areas of rubbing to the colours with overall fine crazing.

All as perpictures.
