This is asuperb mid19th century architectural Italian carved shelf/bracket with gilding/gesso over. Dating c.1850.

Beautiful carved Italian gilded bracket with decorative beading and with a gilded flower with berries decorating front of bracket. All carving in relief. The lower part of the bracket has fine scrolled work which is very decorative.

Measures some 9\" height x 9\" max width at top of bracket. Depth of bracket shelf some 4.25\".

Excellent and age commensurate condition. The bracket is constructed in two parts with the shelf area fixed to the lower scrolled half as images show. Please see all images.
