This is a superb pair of Regal & Sanejouand majolica green plates with the leaf decoration ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the 19th century.

Date about c1880s.

Underneath each: the incised R. S. & anchor marks.

Emile Regal & Jules Sanejouand, Clairefontaine.

Of a French origin.

Majolica plates with their wonderful central decoration of:

the leaf patterns.

Each has an overall height of about 0.75inches.

Each has an overall max dia of about 8inches.

Base dias of about 4.25inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to the pair is excellent and both are not subject to:

any major blemishes except:

ageing with

both having a minor glaze kiln nibbles to the base edges from time of manufacture.
