This is a superb pair of large Staffordshire seated black & white spaniel dogs with the separate front legs, gilt collars & locks with black chains, of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the 19th century.

Date about c1880s.

Staffordshire, Englandorigin.

A wonderful portrayal of the large seated spaniel dogs with:

the black & white decoration and superb facial detailing.

A left and a right.

Separate front legs.

Gilt collars and locks.

Black chains.

Pottery.

Hollowed bases.

Each has an overall height of about 9inches.

Max basesizes ofabout 6.75 x 5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition both is excellent and both are without any major blemishes except:

one has a couple of firing cracks underneath which are from he time of manufacture.
