This is a superb pair of very large: Staffordshire seated white & gilt seated spaniel dogs of which:

during our research: we have been informed they datefrom the 19th century:

date aboutc1880s.

Wonderfulpair of the Staffordshire seated spaniel dogs.

White and gilt in colour with the wonderful coloured facial decoration to both.

Gilt chains, collars and locks.

A left and a right.

Pottery.

Wonderful overall portrayals.

Each has an overall height of about 12.75inches.

Hollowed bases with an overall size underneathof about 7.75 x 4.25inches.

Max dia underneath, including the curled tails, of about 9.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are without any major blemish except:

One has a fine hairline whhich continues underneath with: a fine hairline to the rear which continues to the front side. (both in similar area) same has a fine and short hairline to the rear centrally.

Due to age: minor areas of loss of colour to the facial detailing.
