This is a superb pair of majolica palissy nautilus vases with the decoration of the coral arms, moths & other ofwhich:

During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the 19th century.

Dates about c1880s.

Unmarked but:

They are of a French origin and are from the studio of Thomas Sergent.

Majolica palissy.

A pair of majolica palissy nautilus vases with the quite superb decoration of:

the coral arms with the decorative vases to the tops with:

around the circumferences, the moth decoration.

Mounted onto the decorative bases.

Each has an overall height of about 4.5inches.

It has an overall max overall dia of about 2.5inches across the tops.

Base dias of just under 2.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to both is very good and both have minor chips, nibbles under the base to the edges with:

one having a chip to the rim at the top edge with very minor nibbles to the the top edges.
