During our research we have been informed they certainly date from the mid 19th century.
Date about c1860s.
Of a black forest origin.
A pair of wooden oak caryatids with the intricate relief and detailed carvings of:
male heads, fruits, flowers, leaves and other.
Both are mounted onto the oak rears.
Each have an overall size of about 35 x 3inches.
Max overall depths of about 3inches.
Condition: Considering the age, the overall condition to the pair is excellent and both are not subject to any major blemishes.

Besides being a very collectable, pair of, very heavy, Black Forest wooden oak caryatids with the intricate relief carvings of the male heads, fruits, flowers, leaves and other carvings, from the mid 19th century, c1860s, both would also look fabulous displayed.
