These are a superb pair of Staffordshire lustre & white seated spaniel dogs with the separate front legs of which:

during our research: we have been informed they datefrom the mid 19th century:

date aboutc1860s.

Wonderfulpair of Staffordshire lustre & white seated spaniel dogs.

Separate front legs.

Superb colouring with the overall lustre & white colouring and facial decoration to both with:

the lustre chains, collars & locks.

The lustre chains travel to the start of the backs.

A left and a right.

Pottery.

Wonderful overall portrayals.

One has an adhered label underneath, showing ownership at some stage, of which is easy to remove.

Each has an overall height of about 8inches.

Hollowed bases with an overall sizes underneathof about 6 x 4inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are without any major blemish except:

one has a firing cracks underneath the base, from the time of manufacture with similar to the top of the head following the moulding line with:

again from time of manufacture, a blemish to the rear.
