This is a superb pair of Staffordshire seated russet red & white spaniel dogs with the wonderful facial detailing of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

Date about c1860s.

Staffordshire, Englandorigin.

A wonderful portrayal of the seated spaniel dogs with:

the russet red & white decoration and superb facial detailing.

Gilt collars, locks & chains.

Pottery.

Hollowed bases.

Each has an overall height of about 9inches.

Max basesizes ofabout 6.5 x 4.75inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition is very good with no major blemishes except:

one has an area of paste applied to the front at the base.

Due to age: both are subject to ageing with:

rubbing to the gilt with minor areas of loss of colour.
