These are a superb pair of Staffordshire seated white & gilt seated spaniel dogs of which:

during our research: we have been informed they datefrom the mid 19th century:

Wonderfulpair of the Staffordshire white & gilt seated spaniel dogs.

Underneath one: an embossed number of 2.

White & gilt colouring with the wonderful facial decoration to both with:

the gilt coloured, chains, collars and locks.

A left and a right.

Pottery.

Wonderful overall portrayals.

Each has an overall height of about 10inches.

Hollowed bases with an overall size underneathof about 6 x 4inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent and both are without any major blemish except:

due to age: both are subject to areas of loss of rubbing to the gilt.
