Being offered is a stunning pair of antique cut & engraved ruby flashed Bohemian art glass mantle vases in the grape vine pattern. This wonderful pair measures 11 7/8\" tall, have 4\" diameter bases, 5 7/8\" diameter rims and weigh 6 lbs 14 oz together. Their condition is excellent for their age (circa 1860) with minor handling wear to the ruby flash, a few small chips on their bases (see pictures 6 - 8) and age appropriate base wear. The ruby flash has a fine craquelure from production which is typical of early Bohemian flashed wares that were produced before the method was perfected. The engraving is excellent quality with beautiful depth and detail. This is a fine pair of mid-19th Century ruby flashed Bohemian made Egermann style engraved mantle vases for your consideration.
