These are a quite superb pair of Staffordshire coloured greyhound dogs with the captured game of a rabbit in their mouths of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the 19th century.

Date about c1890.

Pottery. Ceramic.

A superb pair of Staffordshire greyhounds with their wonderful portrayals.

Open front & rear legs.

Coloured.

Mounted onto the decorative bases with:

decoration of bocage to the base with gilt.

Each has an overall height of about 6inches.

Oval bases with an overall size ofabout 5.25 x 1.5inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent with both being without blemish.
