These area superb pair of large Staffordshire white & gilt seated spaniel dogswith the original glass eyes of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the 19th century.

Date about c1880s.

Wonderful white & gilt to the bodies with lustre decoration to the tops of the heads.

Hand decorated faces with lustre.

Original glass eyes.

Gilt collar, lock and chains.

Wonderful portrayal and colouring to the pair.

Curled tails.

Each has an overall height of about 12.5inches.

Overall base sizesof about 8.5 x 4inches.

Max over dis including tails of about 11inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is:

very good with one having a glue repair to the rear front foot.#

Due to age:rubbing to the gilt.
