These are a superb pair of large Staffordshire white &gilt seated spaniel dogs of which:

During our research we have been informed they certainlydate from the mid 19th century.

Date about c1860s.

A left and a right.

Wonderful white & gilt colouring & overall hand painted decoration to their faces.

Pottery.

Pair of large Staffordshireseated spaniel dogs with their wonderful portrayals and colouring.

White & gilt with their:.

gilt chains and collars.

Superb facial portrayals.

Each has an overall height of about 12inches.

Overall sizes of bases of about 7.5 x 4inches.

Overall base sizes including the curled tails of about 9inches.

Condition: Considering the age: the overall condition to both is excellent to one with other, having a hairline to the front and side at the base area.

Due to age: both are subject to overall fine crazing with:

rubbing to the gilt chains & collars.
