Description A superbrare English antique mid 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silverladies companion etui/sewing set in lovely condition and dating from around 1850.Beautiful quality genuine 160+ year old set,housed in a leather-bound fitted case in the form of a book, with gilt tooling, and inside it has numerous compartments containing genuine antique sewing tools, some being sterling silver. There is a small hand-written year date under the lid from 1852.

Measurements The case measures 4.25 inches (110mm) in height x 2.4 inches (60mm) wide and is 1.95 inches (48mm) deep.

ConditionLovely condition, with no nasty damage or wear to the leather bound \"book\" case or gilt tooling and all the interior sewing tools & accessories are genuine antique and in great condition, possibly some antique replacements. The Sheffield steel scissors still work well and the silver Charles Horner thimble has no wear holes.
