This wonderful Royal Doulton figurine is the charming Daffy Down Dilly, a study in green and pink, with lovely baskets of yellow flowers and a pretty and serene expression on her charming face.
For any lover of Royal Doulton figurines, this beautiful example, designed by the legendary Leslie Harradine, is evidence of all the reasonscollectors covetthese exceptional figures:the finely detailed work,the glorious design andthe sheer beauty of the fine bone china.
Daffy Down Dilly was produced between 1935 and 1975,and this example is from the earlier end of that range.
On the reverse is the green underglaze Doulton mark that was in use between 1922 and 1956, and a 1935 copyright date also appears.
It\'s approximately 7 3/4 inches tall and in great condition – no nicks, chips, cracks, scratches, stains or repairs.
