DescriptionA stunninglargevery rareEnglishantiquelate19th CenturyVictoriansolid sterling silver\"novelty\"bookmark depicting a Boer War soldier,by the silversmiths Miller Brothers,andwith full English silver hallmarks for Birmingham 1899.Superb quality genuine118 year oldexample, in reallyexcellent condition,(definitelynota modern re-production), a veryscarcebookmark, has a polished solid silver blade in the form of a builders trowel, with a handsome silver Boer War soldier standing on a cannon ball, forming the handle and blade mount.There arenoadded engraved monograms or initials.Looks very little used and a rare find.

DateEnglish antique late 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver, with a full set of English silver hallmarks forBirmingham 1899, (date letter \"z\"). Superb clear struck marks.MakerSilversmiths initials slightly rubbed but are \"M BROs\", (Miller Brothers - 1897-1919). There is also a date registration number \"Rd 352723\" stamped on the blade.100% guaranteed genuine.ConditionExcellent conditionandready to be used. No splits or cracks to the silver, no solder repairs and no nasty knocks ordents, a beautifulcleanexample,looks only little used. No damage at all to the Boer war soldier which is nicely detailed. As a bonus there are no added personal engraved inscriptions.A rare find and a great usable investment.
