Wonderful Vintage George V Solid Sterling Silver Powder Compact Made ByDeakin & Francis
Description -Lovelygood quality vintage 1930s Art Deco George V good gauge solid silver powder compact with hinged lid, push button clasp and thumb piece.
The compact has niceserpentine shape, both sides have engine turned decoration,the lid having a vector pattern with a vacant triangular cartouche.
The interior is silver-gilt (Gold washed).
The compact is fullyhallmarkedwith the anchor forBirmingham assay, the lion passantindicating925 grade solidsterling silver, the date letter \"K\" for the year 1934 and the makers mark \"D & F\" which is Deakin & Francis Ltd.
Condition -The compact is in very good condition,there are no dents, dinks, splits, or repairs.
The engine turned decoration is crisp and clear with no wear or rubbing, the hinge hinge has a bit of wobble but ingeneralvery good working, the clasp is in excellent working condition click the lid shut tightly.
The interior silver-gilt has a nice sheen but thinning in the center.
The mirror is undamaged.
