Up for sale is what I believe is an Old knights Templar Masonic Freemason Fraternal sword and sheath/scabbard Marked EA Armstrong Detroit Michigan \"EA Armstrong\" was acquired by another sword company in the late 1800s and the company name was changed. Based on the company information this sword dates to the 1800s, exact age unknown. ***Per Richard Bezdek\'s American Swords and Sword Makers , E.A. Armstrong & Co. of Detroit Michigan dates between 1870 and 1894. On the bladenear the handle it says, made in Germay with a bear logo.Engraved sword blade with plating design on the blade on both sides.There is a knights head pommel / top of the sword handle. Sheath has ornate metalwork detail There is red enamel detail on the cross on the scabbard Swordhas a slight curve tothe blade,butfits in the scabbard fine, tipis good. Approx: 38\" long (measurement taken with sword in the scabbard) very old piece, keep in mind this piece is very old and not new but still fine piece. Excellent in my opinion. Be thou faithful unto death I will, Give thee a crown of life is engraved around the cross. the engraving on the blade on one sides shows two joisting knights in what looks like the middle east. The other side shows a knight standing holding a Flag with a cross on it and a name engraved, John Yount.
