Antique opaque cotton twiststem glass scarce honey comb pattern bowl C1770

Late 18thC Georgianwine glass withvery scarcehoneycomb/hammered design to ogee bowl,DSOT,Double Series Opaque Twist stem withcentralmulti-plytapes in a corkscrewand wide outer multi-ply tape,with plain wide conical foot,English lead glass.

Roughpontil to base of wide foot,having usual striations and tiny bubbles you would expect to see in anantique glass.

Signs of light use and wear,slight fine scratch to bowl,underside edge of foot rim has wear,few light scratches if any,top rim looksuntouched with no polishing,base rim has had professional polish to foot rim to remove tiny edge fleabites,typical handmade antique glass.

It measures 14.5 cm high,5cm wide (top),foot6.6 cm wide,see supersize pictures for close up detail (click on link).
