Up for sale I have thisscarce gold gilt 83rd County of Dublin Regiment of Foot officer’sbutton dating to c1794-1812. Please judge for yourself the condition of thebutton from the pictures and if it’s in a condition you would be happy with. Ascan be seen the button is in great condition for its age with the centralregimental number within in a French scroll being very clear. I’ve done verylittle to this button to clean it as I think it has a great collectable lookbut if the winning buyer wanted to clean it up more I’m sure this could bedone easily. The button has lost its rear shank in antiquity and is backstamped FIRMIN & WESTALL STRAND which if you click HEREdates the button to the before mentioned period. Approximate diameter of thebutton is 20mm and it weighs approx 3.65g. A lovely early military button thatwould make a great addition to any collection. One pence not included in thesale!
