Scarce Victorian Military Bronze Medal - ‘Grand Military Tournament’ Glasgow 1892

Nice quality bronze medal made for participants of the Grand Military Tournament held in Glasgow in 1892.This scarce and attractive medal is in the form a Maltese cross and is decorated with ribbons, all marked with the names of the various military units who took part in the tournament. These are: “Royal Scots Fusiliers”; “Carabiniers”; HMS Supurb Volunteers & Gymnastic Staff”; “7th F.B.R.A.” (7th Field Battery Royal Artillery); “Maryhill Co. 1st D.R. Volunteers” (Maryhill Company, 1st Dunbartonshire Rifle Volunteers). Width: 34mm. Nice condition. Comes with what is believed to be the original case.
