France, 1906 \" Mutualité \", a 50mm art medal, in bronze, by Legastelois, light brown patina, this specimen is a modern restrike in excellent condition as scanned, edge dated 1987 and marked with horn (Paris mint)* + \"bronze\".

Obv. Three sitted young women taking care of the city, the one in the middle her arms on the shoulders of her two partners, illustrate the inscriptions : LA MUTUALITÉ APPUYÉE SUR LE TRAVAIL ET L\'ÉPARGNE ASSURE L\'AVENIR. (THE RECIPROCITY SUPPORTED BY WORK AND SAVINGS ENSURES THE FUTURE.)

Rev. decorated garlands, cartouche for possible engraving.

ABOUT THE ARTIST Julien-Prosper LEGASTELOIS (1885-1931), French medallist, pupil of E.Carltier, Levasseur and Tonnelier. Médaille de bronze in 1900. Médaille d\'argent at the 1889 exhibition. .
