We are pleased to offer this early George II Scottish bullet teapot.

From the well listed Edinburgh maker Edward Lothian in 1737. First listed that year, alone through 1750, then with Patrick Robinson.
Examples in major collections. Almost always found with Robertson. His work alone is rare.
Classic raised sphere form.
Beautifully engraved fruit and floral within oval medallion. Alternating with streaming acanthus.
Globe finial, shell and acanthus and diamond pattern medallion.
Rolled tongue paneled swans neck spout. Original S-scroll leaf accented handle.
Scottish teapot is 10 1/2 inches handle to spout and 6 tall and 24 1/2 standard ounces.
Hallmarked as shown.
Overall fine condition as detailed. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Interior clean. Period engraved shell and foliate medallion retain much of their original detail. Stands firm on table. Covers close firm. Original handle, lower stop replaced. Interior restoration lower handle, tiny restoration to base rim split and few tiny bumps.
