DescriptionA SUPERB MUSEUM QUALITY AUSTRIAN VIENNA BRONZE OF A RARE MINIATURE SCOTTY PUPPY DOG! VERY POSSIBLY BY BERGMANN DATING TO C 1870-1910. PART OF A WONDERFUL COLLECTION!This is a superb museum quality Austrian Vienna Bronze (Bronze de Vienne, Wiener Bronze, Cold Painted Bronze) It dates to c1900. The bronze is very possibly made by Bergmann although it is not signed. It clearly is of the highest quality of Vienna Bronzes.It features the most wonderful Scotty dog - it is just adorable. The expression on the face is fantastic. The details are superb.The paint is in fine period condition with paint loss commensurate with its age. This is an antique vienna bronze, not a new reproduction! Please see our other sales for more early Vienna Bronzes from this collection.The bronze is 1 inch (26 mm) long, and the dog is 5/8 inch (17 mm) tall. There is no damage to the bronze.
